Haia bans New Year celebrations

The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Haia) has warned gift shops and florists against selling items that are made specifically for New Year’s Eve, which will be celebrated Tuesday.

HAIL — The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (Haia) has warned gift shops and florists against selling items that are made specifically for New Year’s Eve, which will be celebrated Tuesday. A Haia source said violators would be fined and penalized. Some florists have stopped selling red roses and replaced them with pink, purple and white ones.
