JEDDAH — The South African Consulate General in Jeddah has set up a book of condolences in tribute to former president Nelson Mandela.

Consul General Ebrahim Edries said, “On behalf of the all staff of the South African consulate, we want to add our voice of sincere and heartfelt condolences on the loss of the world icon. This is a very sad moment for all people of the world, since Mandela’s ideas were a symbol of humanity.

“During the 27 years he spent in jail, his goal was to achieve justice and equality for the people of South Africa and all over the world. One of his most remarkable quotes stated that everyone should live in harmony and equality.”
