RIYADH — Under the patronage of Emir of Hail and Chairman of the Board of Hail Region Development Authority Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad, Hail Region entered the Guinness World Records on Friday after successfully organizing the world’s largest off-road production cars convoy at the historic Tuwaren area northwest of Hail.

The convoy set off with 501 off-road production cars, traversing a 7-kilometer unpaved desert route in an exceptional spectacle that embodied the spirit of adventure, showcased the region’s natural diversity and terrain, and reinforced Hail’s position as a leading winter destination for off-road adventures.

The event was jointly organized by the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) and Hail Region Development Authority, sponsored by the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority and Culture House, and supported by 14 government entities, including the Principality of Hail Region and the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation.

The organizing bodies confirmed that the convoy met all Guinness World Records requirements and standards, including full adherence to the designated route without stopping or deviation, and the use of GPS tracking systems, which led to the official certification of the world record.

The governor praised the continued support of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman for the development and advancement of the Kingdom’s regions. He commended the youth of the region for achieving the world record and lauded the outstanding organization of the event, affirming that Hail is pleased to welcome visitors from across the Kingdom and from abroad.
