CAIRO — Saudi Arabia has delivered 30,000 shares of sacrificial meat each to Egypt and Palestine under the Kingdom’s Hady and Adahi Utilization Project, which is overseen by the Royal Commission for the City of Makkah and the Holy Sites.
The handover took place at the Saudi Embassy in Cairo, where Deputy Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Egypt Khalid bin Hamad Al-Shammari delivered Egypt’s share to its representative, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Reda, and Palestine’s share to its ambassador to Egypt, Diab Al-Louh.
The signing ceremony was attended by Saad bin Abdulrahman Al-Wabil, supervisor general of the Kingdom’s Hady and Adahi Utilization Project.
Al-Shammari said the project, launched in 1983, provides an integrated regulatory framework for managing the Hady and Adahi rituals, ensuring safe procedures, fair distribution and sustainable impact.
He noted that sacrificial meat is distributed inside and outside the Kingdom to reach eligible beneficiaries in several countries.
Al-Wabil said Saudi Arabia places great importance on facilitating the utilization of Hady and Adahi meat and ensuring its delivery to beneficiaries in about 26 Islamic countries.
Palestinian Ambassador Diab Al-Louh expressed his gratitude to Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for the annual support provided to the Palestinian people through the distribution of sacrificial meat.
Egypt’s representative also expressed appreciation to King Salman and the Crown Prince for their continued support to the Arab and Islamic worlds, praying for the Kingdom’s continued stability and progress.
