JEDDAH — Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji held a series of bilateral meetings with foreign ministers from several member states on the sidelines of the extraordinary meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah on Saturday.
Elkhereiji met with Varsen Aghabekian Shahin, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Palestine, to review bilateral relations and discuss the latest developments in the Gaza Strip.
He also held separate meetings with Abdulla Khaleel, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, and Touhid Hossain, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh.
Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties and exchanging views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
In addition, Elkhereiji met with Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al Muraikhi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, where talks addressed relations between the two brotherly countries and key international developments.
The Saudi vice foreign minister also met with Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, and Modou Njie, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Gambia. Both meetings focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and exchanging perspectives on regional and international developments.
