WASHINGTON — Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan met on Wednesday in Washington with US Senator Jeanne Shaheen, vice chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, as part of his official visit to the United States.

The meeting reviewed the close relations between the two friendly countries and discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.

According to a post by the official account of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee on X, the talks also addressed “a new future for Syria and the paths forward on difficult regional challenges,” including Yemen, Sudan, Gaza and Lebanon.

The meeting was attended by Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan, ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United States, and Mohammed Al-Yahya, adviser to the minister of foreign affairs.
