RIYADH — The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Office in Saudi Arabia announced that Johara Almutairi has received the “Young and Young-at- Heart” award. She has been named among the organization’s Top 200 young leaders worldwide.

The recognition is in appreciation of Almutairi’s distinction and adherence to quality standards, as well as her initiatives that enhanced the efficiency of internal procedures and improved the effectiveness of operational processes. Almutairi also presented recommendations that helped increase spending efficiency while maintaining effective field engagement, in line with FAO’s institutional priorities.

“Her professionalism and proactive efforts highlight the vital role of young Saudi women in advancing institutional excellence and supporting Saudi Vision 2030,” the FAO said in a statement.

FAO Program Director Dr. Nizar Haddad congratulated Almutairi on this achievement, affirming that it reflects the pioneering role of Saudi women within international organizations. “This achievement underscores the FAO Office’s commitment in the Kingdom to supporting women’s empowerment, enhancing inclusivity, and promoting equal opportunities, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals,” he added.
