Saudi Gazette report
JEDDAH — The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast a cold wave affecting several regions of the Kingdom on Wednesday and Thursday.
According to the NCM, temperatures are expected to drop sharply across parts of Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders, Hail, Qassim, and Riyadh regions, with minimum temperatures ranging between 3°C and 1°C below zero.
The upcoming system marks the third cold wave to impact Saudi Arabia during the winter of 2025.
The first cold wave, which struck in mid-December, brought notable snowfall in parts of the Kingdom, including Hail and Tabuk.
The NCM has urged residents in affected areas to take necessary precautions, particularly during early morning and nighttime hours, as cold conditions intensify.
Authorities continue to monitor weather developments and advise the public to follow official updates and safety guidance.
