Saudi Gazette report
RIYADH — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has suspended an Umrah company and its foreign agent for committing violations. The punitive measures were taken after detecting that the company had failed to provide accommodation for pilgrims as stipulated in the approved contractual programs. This constituted a breach of the regulations and instructions governing services for the Umrah pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque.

The ministry identified that some pilgrims arrived in the Kingdom without the provision of their approved accommodation, despite these services being documented in the contractual programs. This necessitated immediate legal action against the violating company and its foreign agent, in accordance with the established procedures.

These measures aimed to guarantee the rights of affected pilgrims and prevent the recurrence of such violations, thereby enhancing the quality of services provided to pilgrims.

The ministry affirmed that this action is part of its ongoing efforts to ensure Umrah companies adhere to their contracts accurately and professionally, and to improve the quality of services provided to pilgrims, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to enhance the pilgrim experience.

The ministry emphasized that it will not tolerate any shortcomings or breaches of contractual obligations towards pilgrims, stressing that protecting the rights of the guests of God are a top priority and that the quality of services provided is a red line that cannot be crossed.

The ministry called on all Umrah service providing companies and establishments to fully comply with the approved regulations and instructions and to provide services according to the contracted programs, thereby contributing to enhancing the quality of services and achieving the highest levels of satisfaction for pilgrims and visitors.
