Al-Futtaim BYD KSA, the official distributor of BYD, a global tech leader and pioneer in New Energy Vehicles (NEVs), formally launched the BYD ATTO 8 at the Riyadh Motor Show.

As BYD's first 7-seater SUV in Saudi Arabia, the ATTO 8 redefines premium family mobility with its sophisticated design, next-generation hybrid technology, and uncompromising comfort.

Engineered to meet the demands of modern Saudi families, BYD ATTO 8 blends spaciousness, advanced technology, and versatile performance. It leverages BYD's cutting-edge 5th-generation DM Super Hybrid technology, delivering both efficiency and performance while contributing to Saudi Vision 2030's sustainable mobility goals.

Elaborating on its family-focused appeal, José Miranda, Director of Marketing and Communications of BYD Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Africa emphasized the vehicle’s core design philosophy: ‘We believe the ATTO 8 is the ideal family SUV because it introduces a fundamental element - space. This 7-seater combines BYD’s most advanced technologies, such as the Blade Battery and the new DMP performance system, with the practicality that families in the Kingdom need for daily life, work, or weekend adventures."

The ATTO 8 marks the 9th model in BYD's expanding portfolio, underscoring a strong commitment to green mobility in Saudi Arabia.

Underpinning the ATTO 8 is BYD's advanced 5th-generation DM (Dual Mode) Super Hybrid platform, available in two distinct configurations.

The DM-i variant prioritizes efficiency and offers an impressive WLTC range of up to 728 kilometres on a single charge and tank – ideal for long-distance journeys without range anxiety.

For exhilarating driving, the DM-p (Dual Motor Performance) configuration delivers up to 480 HP (Combined Power) through its intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system. With the power to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds, it delivers sports-car responsiveness within a full-size family SUV.

Measuring over 5 meters in length with a 2,950mm wheelbase, the ATTO 8 provides ample space for seven adults across three rows.

The cabin features 11-layer leather seats with massage functions and 14-way power adjustment in the front seats. Seat ventilation in the first two rows ensures comfort during Saudi Arabia's warmest months.

With flexible seating modes to suit any occasion, the ATTO 8 includes an innovative “camping bed” configuration, creating rest spaces ideal for long journeys or outdoor adventures.

The driving experience is further elevated by a 21-speaker DiSound audio system and 128-color ambient lighting. While modern convenience features include sleek flush door handles, an electric tailgate for effortless access, and a wide Head-Up Display that projects crucial information onto the windshield.

Technologically advanced, the ATTO 8 integrates features for the connected family. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ensure seamless smartphone connectivity, while the BYD App provides remote access to over 40 vehicle functions, creating a personalized cabin environment.

Safety and driving dynamics are evident across every aspect of the ATTO 8's engineering. A sophisticated suspension system, combines a front double-wishbone with a rear five-link setup, delivering exceptional ride comfort and precise handling.

The Intelligent Chassis DiSus-C system continuously adapts to road conditions, ensuring stability across diverse terrains, and further supported by comprehensive driver assistant features for enhanced safety and convenience.

Safety is further reinforced by 11 airbags and BYD's Cell to Body (CTB) structure, which integrates the ultra-safe BYD Blade Battery directly into the high-strength frame for enhanced structural integrity.

The launch event at the Riyadh Motor Show, running December 9-13, offered media, influencers, customers, and partners an exclusive preview of BYD's flagship family SUV.
