RIYADH — The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) forecasts thunderstorms of varying intensity across most regions of Saudi Arabia, starting from Saturday, Dec. 6 and continuing until next Thursday, Dec. 11.
Thunderstorms will hit the regions of Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Tabuk, Hail, Qassim, Jazan, Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province.
According to the forecasts, the accompanying weather phenomena may include active downdrafts causing dust storms, hail in some regions, high waves in the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf, and flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas due to heavy rainfall.
The NCM urged everyone to continuously monitor weather reports and exercise caution while traveling, especially in areas expected to be affected by rain and flash floods. It called on the public to follow authentic information from the center's website, social media channels, and the Anwaa app.
