RIYADH — Al Hilal booked their place in the King’s Cup semifinals with a commanding 4-1 win over Al Fateh on Saturday at Kingdom Arena, delivering another statement performance under manager Simone Inzaghi.
The Riyadh giants struck first through Malcom in the 21st minute, before Ruben Neves doubled the advantage just two minutes later with a composed finish.
Defender Hassan Tombakti continued the first-half dominance, rising to head home Al Hilal’s third in the 35th minute.
After the break, the four-time Asian champions maintained full control. Substitute Marcos Leonardo added the fourth in the 49th minute, capitalizing on Al Hilal’s relentless attacking tempo.
Ali Lajami thought he had scored a late fifth, but his effort was ruled out for offside after a VAR review.
Al Fateh pulled one back deep into stoppage time through Matías Vargas, but it proved only a consolation.
The victory sends Al Hilal into the final four, joining Al Kholood and Al Ahli as the semifinal lineup continues to take shape.
