King Abdulaziz Medal awarded to 200 Saudis for donating organs

RIYADH — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman has approved awarding the King Abdulaziz Medal of the Third Class to 200 Saudi male and female citizens. This is in recognition of donating a major organ by each one of them, whether from a living or brain-dead donor.


The medal, in its five classes, namely Excellent, First, Second, Third, and Fourth, is awarded usually to those who have rendered outstanding services to the State or one of its institutions.


The medal, which has great moral value, is also awarded to those who have performed services or actions of significant moral value, or who have made great sacrifices.
