RIYADH — The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) said that rainfall chances are expected to increase over parts of the Kingdom by the middle of next week, according to the Saudi numerical weather model.

The expected weather pattern is forecast to affect areas in Tabuk, Madinah, Makkah, Al-Jouf, Hail and the Northern Borders, in addition to the highlands of Asir, Jazan and Al-Baha, as well as the southern parts of the Eastern Province.

The NCM urged the public to monitor updates through its official website, social media channels and the “Anwa’a” application for more detailed information on specific governorates expected to be affected.

Earlier on Thursday, the center reported continued active winds stirring dust and reducing horizontal visibility across the Eastern Province, Riyadh, Najran, Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jouf and the Northern Borders.

The formation of fog during the night and early morning hours over the Eastern Province also remains possible.
