WASHINGTON — US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman “have made the US–Saudi alliance stronger than it has ever been.”
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and President Trump participated in the US–Saudi Investment Forum in the American capital.
Washington and Riyadh are prepared to finalize $270 billion in investment agreements spanning defense, energy and artificial intelligence.
Trump praised the Crown Prince as “a bold leader” committed to strengthening ties, adding that the United States would provide Saudi Arabia with advanced military systems as part of the expanding partnership.
The Crown Prince said Saudi Arabia and the United States “have laid the foundations to strengthen their historic partnership,” calling on both sides to seize the attractive economic opportunities emerging from the strategic relationship.
He confirmed that Saudi Arabia will sign new agreements with the United States focused on defense industries, energy cooperation and AI technologies.
“We must seize the opportunities offered by the Saudi–U.S. partnership,” he said.
The forum served as a platform to advance major investment commitments and reaffirm the long-standing political and economic ties between the two allies.
