Saudi Gazette report

WASHINGTON — US President Donald Trump has approved a major defense sale package to Saudi Arabia, including future deliveries of F-35 fighter jets.

The White House said the move will strengthen the American defense industrial base and reinforce long-term military cooperation with the Kingdom.

According to a White House statement, the package also includes an agreement for Saudi Arabia to purchase nearly 300 American-made tanks, a deal expected to support hundreds of U.S. manufacturing jobs while enhancing the Kingdom’s defense capabilities.

The White House said the new arrangements reaffirm America’s role as a key security partner in the Middle East and further deepen military coordination between Washington and Riyadh.

The agreements are intended to bolster collective deterrence, improve operational readiness, and ensure that U.S. partners in the region are better equipped to address evolving threats.
