Minister Al-Sheikh: Islamic Ministry hires 60,000 Saudis in 4 years

RIYADH — Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh said that the number of male and female citizens employed by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance has reached 60,000 during the last four years.

“This is an achievement that is considered as the largest in the history of the ministry,” he said while witnessing the signing of the final eight contracts under the National Employment Plan program during a ceremony held at the ministry headquarters in Riyadh on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Al-Sheikh said that the recruitment process covered imams and muezzins, male and female preachers, male and female supervisors, and male and female security guards. The minister expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the wise leadership's continued support for the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in fulfilling its noble mission.

Al-Sheikh emphasized that the completion of this employment program embodies the wise leadership's interest and support in empowering national talent to serve the houses of God and achieve one of the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030: employing human resources to fill suitable positions for the sons and daughters of the nation.
