RIYADH — The General Directorate of Civil Defense has urged the public to exercise caution and remain in safe locations, avoiding areas prone to flash floods, and keep away from valleys. This advisory came in light of forecasts predicting thunderstorms across most regions of Saudi Arabia from Friday until Monday.

The directorate said that the Makkah region is expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash floods, hail, and dust storms. Meanwhile, Riyadh will be affected by light to moderate rain accompanied by dust storms.

The directorate stated that the regions of Madinah, Al-Jouf, Northern Borders, Hail, Qassim, Eastern Province, Al-Baha, Asir, and Jazan are expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall, while Tabuk will see light to moderate rain.
