Saudi Arabia, Japan mark 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties in Riyadh

RIYADH — On behalf of the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Al-Khuraiji participated in a ceremony commemorating the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom and Japan.

Al-Khuraiji praised the longstanding partnership dating back to 1955, noting that bilateral cooperation fosters regional and global stability and prosperity. He also highlighted that ongoing efforts could elevate these relations to a new level.

"The diligent work between the two friendly countries is capable of propelling our shared relations to a new stage," he said, referring to the Saudi-Japanese Vision 2030 and transforming cooperation into a comprehensive strategic partnership.

He concluded by reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening ties with Japan and advancing shared goals of growth, progress, and prosperity for both nations and their peoples.
