DAMASCUS — Syrian Defense Minister Muharraf Abu Qasra announced that Syrian officers will receive training from military colleges in Saudi Arabia and Turkey. The Syrian government started sending military officials to receive the training, he said.
The minister emphasized that this is part of academic and military cooperation, capacity building, and the training of personnel with knowledge of the latest weapons systems and modern warfare methods.
