DAMASCUS — Syrian Defense Minister Muharraf Abu Qasra announced that Syrian officers will receive training from military colleges in Saudi Arabia and Turkey. The Syrian government started sending military officials to receive the training, he said.
The minister emphasized that this is part of academic and military cooperation, capacity building, and the training of personnel with knowledge of the latest weapons systems and modern warfare methods.

Abu Qasra praised the cooperation from the part of Saudi Arabia and Turkey during the reception ceremony held for the officers, who are leaving for Saudi Arabia and Turkey for the training. He also emphasized the government’s commitment to exchanging expertise and developing capabilities.
