RIYADH — Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman sent a cable of congratulations to Sanae Takaichi on her election as prime minister of Japan.

In the cable, the Crown Prince extended his sincere congratulations to the Japanese prime minister, wishing her success and the Japanese people continued progress and prosperity.

The Crown Prince also praised the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries and affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness to further strengthen them in all fields. Japan’s parliament appointed on Tuesday Sanae Takaichi as the first woman prime minister.
