Alswaha meets Zuckerberg and tech leaders in US to discuss strengthening partnerships in AI and future technologies

CALIFORNIA — Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah Alswaha met with Founder, Chairman and CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg and other global technology company leaders during his current visit to the United States. This was part of the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance strategic partnerships in artificial intelligence (AI) and innovative digital solutions.
During their meeting, Alswaha and Zuckerberg discussed partnership opportunities in AI, large language models (LLMs), the metaverse, and generative AI. It also addressed initiatives that support innovators and developers in a way that enhances national capabilities and helps consolidate the Kingdom’s leadership in future technologies.
Alswaha also met with Adobe Chair and Chief Executive Officer Shantanu Narayen in San Francisco. The meeting was part of the visit of the Kingdom’s Digital Economy, Space, and Innovation delegation to the United States to strengthen partnerships in technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation.
During the meeting, they discussed expanding collaboration in intelligent content solutions and AI-powered creative design. This aims to empower creators and designers within the digital creative economy and enhance the Kingdom’s capabilities in creative and digital innovation tools.
Alswaha’s meeting with Groq Founder and CEO Jonathan Ross in California focused on advancing the Kingdom’s capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing.
They discussed expanding collaboration in accelerator computing technologies and AI-powered sustainable computing to help build a world-class national computing ecosystem and support the Kingdom’s objective to establish itself as a leading hub for sustainable AI technologies.
Alswaha also held a meeting with Applied Intuition CEO Qasar Younis to discuss supporting the Kingdom’s smart mobility ecosystem. During the meeting, they discussed opportunities to develop advanced simulation and testing solutions for autonomous vehicles. These efforts aimed to enhance the Kingdom’s leadership in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies tailored for smart mobility and contribute to an integrated intelligent transportation ecosystem that supports Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
