GAZA CITY — The military wing of Hamas, the Al-Qassam Brigades, completed on Monday the release of 20 living Israeli hostages, according to an Anadolu correspondent.
The hostages were handed over to International Committee of the Red Cross teams in two separate groups inside the Gaza Strip as part of the ongoing implementation of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
In return, Israel will release 1,968 Palestinian prisoners, including 250 serving life sentences, under the terms of the deal aimed at solidifying the U.S.-brokered truce and paving the way for further humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza. — Agencies
