Saudi Arabia calls for restraint amid border tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan

Saudi Arabia stressed the need for adopting dialogue and wisdom to help de-escalate tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan and maintain the security and stability of the region.
RIYADH — Saudi Arabia voiced concern on Sunday over the tensions and clashes taking place along the border areas between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
In a statement, Saudi Arabia called for restraint, as well as to avoid escalation. It stressed the need for adopting dialogue and wisdom to help de-escalate tensions and maintain the security and stability of the region.
The Kingdom also affirmed its support for all regional and international efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability and its constant keenness to ensure security that achieves stability and prosperity for the Pakistani and Afghan peoples.
