RIYADH — The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) revealed that land, sea, and air customs ports across the Kingdom recorded a total of 1,534 contraband seizures during the week.
ZATCA stated that the seized items include 101 types of narcotics, such as hashish, cocaine, heroin, shabu, Captagon pills, and others, in addition to 709 prohibited substances.
The authority said that customs ports witnessed the foiling of 2,761 packs of tobacco and its derivatives, along with 62 types of cash and nine types of weapons and related supplies.
ZATCA affirmed that it is continuing to tighten customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports to ensure the security and protection of society, in cooperation and continuous coordination with all its partners from relevant authorities.
