DUSSELDORF — Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef has successfully concluded an official visit to Germany, during which he led a high-level delegation at the "K Show 2025," the world's leading trade fair for plastics and rubber, held in Düsseldorf.
The visit underscored Saudi Arabia's commitment to advancing global industrial collaboration and attracting strategic investments in key priority sectors, including downstream chemicals and advanced manufacturing technologies. As part of the visit, the minister toured the Saudi Pavilion at the "K Show 2025," which featured leading government entities and showcased the Kingdom's remarkable industrial advancements and diverse investment opportunities.
The minister engaged in high-level discussions with executives from Germany's top industrial companies, focusing on knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and collaboration in the downstream chemical sector. Additionally, talks explored joint opportunities in organizing global industrial exhibitions, aligning with Saudi Arabia's preparations to host landmark international events in the coming years.
In a key highlight, the minister chaired a roundtable meeting with leaders of major global industrial firms to spotlight investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia's downstream chemical industries and advanced manufacturing sectors. During the session, he extended an invitation to global investors to leverage Saudi Arabia's extensive capabilities and facilities designed to ensure a seamless investment journey.
The visit also witnessed the signing of several transformative agreements, including a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Industrial Development Center and Germany's Flender Company to establish a maintenance center for industrial equipment spare parts in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, Gulf Packaging Industries signed contracts with leading German and Italian firms to expand polypropylene production lines.
This strategic visit and Saudi Arabia's active participation in the "K Show 2025" align with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to position the Kingdom as a global industrial leader by fostering international partnerships, transferring advanced technologies, and attracting high-value investments.
