RIYADH — The Saudi Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) President Mazin Al-Kahmous met with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Executive Director Ghada Waly on Tuesday.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the first annual general meeting of the Asset Recovery Inter-Agency Network in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA-ARIN), scheduled to be held in Jeddah on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed aspects of cooperation between Nazaha and UNODC in promoting integrity, combating corruption, and exchanging international expertise and experiences in asset recovery. They also discussed ways to further develop existing partnerships in joint programs and initiatives.

The meeting also addressed leading international practices in enhancing transparency and strengthening national capacities in corruption prevention, in addition to cooperation on implementing relevant initiatives.

Al-Kahmous praised UNODC’s participation in the MENA-ARIN meeting, expressing his appreciation for the office’s collaboration and his aspiration for continued coordination and joint efforts to combat corruption and promote integrity.
