MANAMA — Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa received Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan in Manama on Tuesday.
During the meeting, they reviewed the fraternal relations between the two countries. They discussed ways to further enhance them at all levels to serve the aspirations of their leadership and people, and exchanged views on regional and international developments.
At the outset of the meeting, Prince Faisal conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to the Bahraini leadership, along with their best wishes for further progress and prosperity to the government and people of Bahrain.
Prince Salman bin Hamad extended the greetings and appreciation of the Bahraini leadership to King Salman and the Crown Prince, wishing Saudi Arabia continued prosperity and well-being.
The reception was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain Nayef Al-Sudairy, Director General of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Walid Al-Samaeel, Advisor to the Minister Mohammed Al-Yahya, and Head of the Working Groups of the General Secretariat of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council Eng. Fahad Al-Harthi.
Prince Faisal also held talks with his Bahraini counterpart Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani. During the meeting, they reviewed relations between the two countries and discussed the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.
Following the meeting, the ministers co-chaired the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, which is chaired by the Saudi and Bahraini crown princes. Addressing the meeting, Dr. Al Zayani welcomed the minister of foreign affairs, expressing his pride in the deep-rooted historical relations and strong fraternal ties that unite the two countries and peoples, which have always enjoyed the care and attention of the leadership of the two countries.
For his part, Prince Faisal praised the Executive Committee's meeting as evidence of the mutual desire and serious commitment to continue strengthening bilateral cooperation, coordination, and integration at all levels, and the joint endeavor to advance bilateral work paths and initiatives towards broader horizons under the guidance of the wise leadership of the two countries.
The Executive Committee reviewed the annual performance report of the committees emanating from the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council for the years 2024-2025 and viewed a visual presentation that included monitoring and measuring the performance of the joint objectives and initiatives between the two countries, as well as the performance results of the relevant authorities in implementing their joint objectives and initiatives.
The committee approved the timeline for the work of the Council and its subcommittees for the years 2025-2026, in addition to directing the heads of the Council's subcommittees to work towards completing the implementation of the agreed-upon initiatives.
