RIYADH The newly appointed Saudi consuls general took the oath of office before Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan in a ceremony held at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh on Monday.

Those who took the oath of office include Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Hajji, consul general in the city of Guangzhou in China; Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Dawood, consul general in Alexandria, Egypt; and Dr. Mishaal bin Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, consul general in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.



They said in the oath: "I swear by Almighty God to be loyal to my religion, then to my King and my country; not to divulge any state secrets; to safeguard its interests and systems at home and abroad; and to perform my duties with honesty, integrity, and sincerity."

The oath-taking ceremony was attended by Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Executive Affairs Abdul Hadi Al-Mansouri, and Undersecretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Protocol Affairs Abdul Majeed Al-Samari.
