The Saudi Paragliding Federation announced that Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports, has approved the resumption of paragliding activities in the Kingdom.

The decision comes after completing regulatory requirements and coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the highest safety and discipline standards.

Headquartered in Abha, the federation said the move strengthens Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading destination for aerial sports in line with Vision 2030 goals to diversify and expand the sports sector.

The federation confirmed it is working to attract international partnerships to support the sport’s development and provide administrative and organizational backing.

It stressed its commitment to enhancing safety standards, training national coaches and athletes, and ensuring a world-class experience for fans of the sport both inside and outside the Kingdom.
