RIYADH — United States President Donald Trump praised Arab and Muslim nations for supporting his Middle East peace plan, calling it “a big day.” He especially thanked Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Egypt, and Turkey, along with “so many others.”

In a brief celebratory video from the Oval Office, he expressed hope that hostages would soon be returned to their families. Reacting to the response of Hamas to his peace proposal, Trump said in another video uploaded on his Truth Social platform Friday evening that “so many people fought so hard. This is a big day.”

Trump thanked countries involved in the Middle East peace plan and described the initiative as nearly finalized. “This is a big day. We’ll see how it all turns out. We have to get the final word down in concrete,” he said.

In the video, the president emphasized fairness in upcoming negotiations and expressed hope for the release of hostages to their families. “In many ways, it is unprecedented. Everybody was unified in wanting this war to end and seeing peace in the Middle East, and we’re very close to achieving that,” Trump added.
