RIYADH — Al Nassr departed for Baghdad on Tuesday ahead of their AFC Champions League Two tie against Iraq’s Al Zawraa, with head coach Jorge Jesus including all of the club’s goalkeepers in the traveling squad.
The Riyadh giants will be without captain Cristiano Ronaldo and Brazilian forward Wesley, but Jesus named all eight of his foreign professionals.
The list includes Sadio Mané (Senegal), Marcelo Brozović (Croatia), Iñigo Martínez (Spain), Mohamed Simakan and Kingsley Coman (France), goalkeeper Bento (Brazil), Angelo Gabriel (Brazil), and João Félix (Portugal).
The squad traveled under the leadership of CEO José Semedo and sporting director Simão Coutinho.
Al Nassr currently sit top of their group and will look to secure another positive result away from home to strengthen their bid for early qualification to the knockout stages.
Victory in Baghdad would also allow Jorge Jesus’ side to shift focus back to their Saudi Pro League title challenge and the King’s Cup campaign.
