The General Authority for the Care of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced on Friday that a total of 53,572,983 worshippers and visitors were received at the Two Holy Mosques during the month of Rabi Al-Awwal 1447 AH.

According to the authority, the Grand Mosque in Makkah welcomed 17,560,004 worshippers, including 91,753 who prayed in the Hijr Ismail (Al-Hatim), while the number of Umrah performers reached 12,146,516.

At the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, 20,701,560 worshippers were recorded during the same month, including 1,002,049 in Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah.

In addition, 2,071,101 visitors offered their salutations to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his two Companions (may Allah be pleased with them).

The authority noted that it employs advanced sensor-based technology to monitor worshipper and Umrah numbers at the main entrances of the Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque. This data-driven approach helps enhance operational efficiency, manage crowd flows, and support authorities overseeing pilgrim services, in partnership with relevant agencies.
