NEW YORK — Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan attended a meeting on Gaza and the efforts to achieve stability in the Middle East region, convened by French President Emmanuel Macron during the ongoing 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting addressed the situation in Gaza Strip. It emphasized the need for an immediate cessation of the war and support for the Palestinian Authority to govern Gaza in conjunction with the West Bank.

Participants condemned all attempts for annexation and forced displacement. They also called for international forces to protect the Palestinian people, as requested by the Palestinian president, as well as to restore stability, support reconstruction, and ensure social and economic recovery.
