NEW YORK — Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan led the Saudi delegation attending the opening of the high-level week of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Tuesday.

The Saudi delegation include Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Climate Envoy Adel Al-Jubeir; Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral Affairs and Head of the Public Diplomacy Department Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi; and the Saudi Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasel.



Meanwhile, Prince Faisal bin Farhan met on Tuesday with Senator Peter Welch and Senator Chris Coons, members of the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

During the meeting, they reviewed the friendly relations between the two countries and discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
