Economy minister to attend UN summit in New York on Wednesday

RIYADH — On behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal Al-Ibrahim will attend the First Biennial Summit for a Sustainable, Inclusive and Resilient Economy, in New York on Wednesday. The summit will be held on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly High-Level Week.

The summit, the first of its kind, aims to unify the efforts of countries and international financial institutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Several heads of state and leaders of financial institutions, including the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, will participate in the event.


The summit will discuss a number of topics related to the Sustainable Development Goals and the latest developments in their implementation at the international level.
