NEW YORK —
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan reaffirmed on Saturday the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to ending the suffering of the Palestinian people and halting the cycle of violence, stressing that the Palestinian cause remains at the forefront of Saudi priorities in all international forums.

Speaking to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly’s high-level week, Prince Faisal said Saudi Arabia is determined to exert every effort to achieve a just solution that begins with the establishment of an independent Palestinian state and leads to comprehensive, lasting regional peace.

He noted that the Kingdom’s participation this year at the UN General Assembly carries a message of peace and justice, reflecting Saudi Arabia’s longstanding role in promoting dialogue and peaceful solutions.

“Since the era of the founder, through the reign of our kings up to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Kingdom has been at the forefront of laying the foundations of peace and advancing dialogue and peaceful solutions at every level,” he said.

Marking the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, Prince Faisal underscored that Saudi Arabia has consistently sought to uphold international law, safeguard global peace and security, and strengthen multilateral cooperation.

He added that the Kingdom’s balanced policies and trusted mediation efforts have earned it a reputation as a reliable international partner in conflict resolution.
