Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH — Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman discussed with French President Emmanuel Macron the outcomes of the high-level international conference on the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution, which the two countries co-chaired.

During a phone call on Saturday, Macron and the crown prince coordinated ahead of the conference’s resumption at the summit level on September 22, 2025, as part of ongoing efforts to end the war in Gaza and achieve peace through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Both leaders welcomed the adoption of the New York Declaration by the UN General Assembly with overwhelming support, stressing that the growing number of countries announcing their intention to recognize Palestine underscores international consensus on moving toward peace and securing Palestinians’ legitimate right to statehood.
