Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH — Al Hilal confirmed that Brazilian left back Renan Lodi has unilaterally terminated his contract with the club after returning to his homeland.

Hisham Al Khathiri, the club’s communications director, said Lodi departed on Saturday evening before Al Hilal’s management received an official letter from the player’s legal representative declaring the contract termination.

Al Khathiri stressed that the club will take all necessary legal measures to safeguard its rights in accordance with applicable regulations, adding that Al Hilal will continue its policy of transparency by keeping supporters updated on developments in the case.

Lodi joined the Saudi giants in 2023 and featured prominently last season, making 24 appearances and scoring three goals. He played 11 matches in the 2024 campaign, starting 10 times and appearing once as a substitute.
