Saudi Gazette report RIYADH — The General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC), in collaboration with its Iraqi counterpart, seized 142 kilograms of methamphetamine (shabu) in the Madinah region. The drugs were concealed inside an international passenger bus. Two Iraqi expatriates were arrested in connection with the drug smuggling activity. The seizure of huge cache of drugs was carried out line with the Ministry of Interior's efforts to combat narcotics and curtail smuggling activities threatening the Kingdom's security and youth. The security authorities called on the public to report any information concerning drug smuggling or selling by calling over the number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province and the number 999 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions. They may also contact the GDNC at the number 995 or through email: 995@gdnc.gov.sa. All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality, they said.
