RIYADH — The Criminal Investigation Department at the Riyadh Police arrested three Syrian expatriates for committing criminal offenses through creating fake online platforms operated from outside Saudi Arabia.

The Public Security said that the platforms claimed to offer services such as selling vehicles they did not own for less than their actual value and obtaining work visas, with the aim of defrauding people, and illegally transferring funds obtained from their victims abroad.

The Public Security added that the suspects were referred to the Public Prosecution after taking the necessary legal action.
