SOCHI — The 8th Joint Ministerial Meeting of the Strategic Dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Russian Federation, held in the Russian city of Sochi on Thursday, strongly condemned the attack carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against the State of Qatar on Tuesday.

The meeting affirmed in a joint statement that this attack represents a flagrant violation of international laws and norms, an assault on the sovereignty of the State of Qatar, and a deliberate undermining of diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the region.

The meeting stressed that such actions require a clear and firm international position—one that holds the international community morally, politically, and legally accountable, and leads to effective measures to deter Israel and end its repeated violations of the principles of international peace and security.

The ministers called upon the international community and the UN Security Council to assume their responsibilities in stopping these attacks and preventing their recurrence, affirming that the continuation of this approach will escalate tensions in the region, undermine opportunities for achieving security and stability, and that the absence of a serious and decisive international stance will have grave repercussions on regional and international peace and security.
