RIYADH — Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan received on Thursday a phone call from Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands David van Weel.

During the call, Prince Faisal congratulated the Dutch minister on his appointment, and wished him success in his new role. They discussed ways to improve bilateral ties, as well as regional and international developments, and topics of common interest.

Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof appointed David Weel as foreign minister of the country on Sept. 2.
