GENEVA — Saudi Arabia strongly condemned and denounced the brutal Israeli aggression on the State of Qatar and the blatant violation of its sovereignty.
Addressing the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Saudi Permanent Representative to the United Nations and international organizations in Geneva Ambassador Abdulmohsen bin Khothaila affirmed the Kingdom's full solidarity with Qatar and its support for all measures it takes. Ambassador Bin Khothaila warned of the dire consequences resulting from the Israeli occupation's criminal acts and violations, stressing that they constitute a flagrant breach of international law and international norms.
He also reiterated the Kingdom's firm condemnation of the ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people, including displacement, blockade, and starvation policies, in clear contravention of international law and basic humanitarian principles.
Bin Khothaila further condemned the continued Israeli attacks inside Syrian territory, most recently the bombing of several areas in Homs and Latakia governorates. He added that Saudi Arabia calls on the international community to act urgently to halt Israeli violations and hold the occupying authorities accountable for crimes that undermine the security and stability of the region.
