Al Hilal sign Uruguay striker Darwin Núñez from Liverpool

Al Hilal have announced the signing of Uruguayan striker Darwin Núñez from Liverpool on a three-year contract.

The 26-year-old forward joins the Roshn Saudi League giants after a successful spell in Europe, highlighted by a Premier League title with Liverpool in the 2024-25 season, the EFL Cup in 2024, and the FA Community Shield in 2022.

Núñez also starred for Benfica, where he was named Portuguese League Player of the Year in 2021-22 after topping the scoring charts with 26 goals and four assists. Earlier in his career, he won back-to-back Uruguayan League titles with Peñarol in 2017 and 2018 before moving to Spanish side Almería.

On the international stage, Núñez has earned 35 caps for Uruguay, scoring 13 goals and providing three assists. He also represented the national team at U20 and U22 levels.

Al Hilal confirmed the striker has already linked up with his new teammates at their preseason training camp in Germany.
