RIYADH —
Al Nassr officially announced the signing of Portuguese international João Félix from Chelsea on Tuesday, confirming a deal that runs through 2027 and could reach a total value of €50 million with bonuses.

In a short reveal video posted on the club’s official X account, Félix appears wearing the yellow kit and declares: “I’m here to enjoy. Let’s win together.”

The message was echoed by the club’s caption: “Let’s win together... João Félix is now a Nassrawi.”

The Saudi Pro League side secured the 25-year-old in a deal worth €30 million upfront, with performance-related incentives potentially raising the total fee to €50 million, according to The Athletic.

Félix's arrival bolsters Al Nassr’s growing Portuguese core, joining national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo.

The former Benfica prodigy carries a high-profile, if turbulent, career journey. After emerging as one of Europe’s brightest young stars in Portugal, Félix made headlines with a €126 million move to Atlético Madrid in 2019 — one of the most expensive transfers in football history at the time.

However, he struggled to meet expectations in Spain, leading to a loan stint at Chelsea in 2023, where he scored seven goals in 20 appearances.

Chelsea made his move permanent in 2024, but the forward saw his playing time diminish amid fierce competition.

A loan to AC Milan followed in the second half of the 2024–25 season, where Félix contributed three goals and one assist in 21 matches. Despite expressing interest in staying at Milan, the Serie A club did not pursue a permanent transfer.

Félix was left out of Chelsea’s squad for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, opening the door for his move to Saudi Arabia.

Al Nassr’s interest intensified as the transfer window progressed, with both Ronaldo and head coach Jorge Jesus reportedly instrumental in persuading Félix to join the club over a potential return to Benfica.

Al Nassr will face Al Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup semifinals on August 19, where Félix could make his first competitive appearance.
