RIYADH — Saudi Arabia welcomed the signing of a declaration of principles between the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Congo River Alliance – March 23 Movement, which took place in Doha.

In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed hope that the agreement would mark a positive step toward improving the humanitarian and economic situation in the DRC, contributing to both regional and international peace and security.

The ministry also praised the diplomatic efforts and constructive role played by the State of Qatar in facilitating the agreement.
