RIYADH — Saudi Arabia has expressed profound sorrow over the tragic fire that broke out in a shopping center in the city of Kut, Iraq, resulting in numerous deaths and injuries.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Kingdom reaffirmed its full solidarity with the Republic of Iraq and its people during this difficult time.

The ministry conveyed heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims, as well as to the Iraqi leadership, government, and people, while wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
