ALKHOBAR —
The future of Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Al Qadsiah appears to be nearing its end following a cryptic post on his account on platform X (formerly Twitter), where he compared his off-ball running stats with those of other Saudi Pro League strikers.

The post comes amid reports that Al Qadsiah is preparing to terminate the striker’s contract based on a technical and medical assessment. The club is reportedly close to finalizing a deal for younger Italian forward Mateo Retegui.

Aubameyang shared an image highlighting his running metrics without the ball, claiming they surpass those of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Ivan Toney from last season’s league stats.

He wrote: “Just received this. If you want me to run, we run! Passionate since day one! What’s so difficult to understand? I’m 36 — no sorry, I’m 63.”

The post was seen by many as a response to internal criticism, possibly regarding his age and physical output.

Despite his competitive stats, it seems Aubameyang may soon part ways with Al Qadsiah as the club looks to refresh its attacking options ahead of the new season.
