RIYADH —
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed the announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding a ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel, marking a major breakthrough after nearly two weeks of escalating conflict in the region.

In a statement issued Tuesday, Saudi Arabia praised the efforts that led to the agreement and emphasized its commitment to regional de-escalation and dialogue.

“The Kingdom values the efforts exerted to de-escalate tensions,” the Ministry said, expressing hope that the ceasefire will pave the way for broader stability and security across the region.

Riyadh called on all parties to commit to the ceasefire, avoid the use or threat of force, and engage in peaceful dialogue to resolve differences.

The Kingdom reaffirmed its firm stance supporting diplomatic solutions to regional disputes, based on principles of respect for state sovereignty and the pursuit of stability and prosperity.
